we moved + other exciting news!

as promised, this blog post brings some big news! taylor and I have moved… to miami!

on our trip to puerto rico, taylor received a job offer to work at brightline, and by the time we came back home, he decided to accept. we spent most of october + november planning the big move.

then, the week before thanksgiving, we did it! it took two and a half days, but we + the cats + the dog made it down in our mini cooper. our stuff arrived a few days later, and as of now I’d say we’re 90% unpacked.

it’s very exciting!! although i really will miss baltimore, i do appreciate the warmth.

we got some photos taken the second weekend after we moved, thanks to the lovely Crystal Photography! at the last minute, I decided we should shoot at matheson hammock park, because I really wanted to have an oak tree/southern background. I think it paid off.. take a look!

in addition to the beautiful canopy, there was still a chance to get some photos on the shore, and with the Miami skyline in the back.

the palm ones give me a very Burn Notice vibe - which, yes, I’m re-watching bc of the Miami references!

on the way to the shore, we tried following a path along the mangroves, which was pretty, but I got so many mosquito bites! seriously, it was incredible…

also incredible that, despite taylor + I getting eaten alive by mosquites, these shots turned out so good!!

before revealing the final ~ocean~ shots, I wanted to also announce that I got a new job at RippleMatch! I started last week and am looking forward to getting more into the swing of things.

and now, here’s the promised palm/ocean shots! some of my favourites ever, thanks again to Crystal!
