birthday in the catskills
happy july feat. a new fave song!
this past weekend was my 25th birthday, and taylor & I celebrated it in the catskills, ny.
we stayed at urban cowboy, a fantastic lodge in big indian wilderness. 99.99% of the reason I picked this hotel was the bath tub. we got the alpine suite + den, so there was plenty of space to cozy up and relax. I mean just look:
in addition to lots of bathing, we did other stuff, too! as you might have noticed, we brought maurice, who is now a 6 month old pup, and he had a great time.

the food at the lodge was incredible. particular shoutout to the fried shiitakes, which were so amazing we ordered them two days in a row!
and, of course, we ate lots of birthday cake! thanks to bramble bakes for the beautifulness & deliciousness.
after our hiking venture, we mostly hung out at the lodge. they have a pool table, lots of board games, & a nice path to the nearby creek. we also meandered around the several small towns nearby.
all in all, it was a grand time away!
